Core Team
The core team that is working on the project are listed below. We would like to highlight that we invite anyone who is interested to join the development team to get in touch with us through the project email address: IntelliGeo Email.
Current team
Gustavo G. Chapeton
Gustavo is a Lecturer and Researcher at the Geo-Information Processing Department, Faculty ITC, University of Twente. His teaching and research are in the domains of systems engineering and geo-informatics. His role in this project is as a Research Engineer. His work in IntelliGeo includes system workflow, user interface, data preparation for training and testing, prompt engineering, and troubleshooting.

Mahdi Farnaghi
Mahdi is an Assistant Professor at Geo-Information Processing Department Faculty ITC, University of Twente. His research is situated at the intersection of Artificial Intelligence and Geography, encompassing various areas of AI such as machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, data mining, linked data/semantic web, and planning/scheduling.
IntelliGeo was born out of discussions between Mahdi and Gustavo, with Mahdi serving as the Principal Investigator (PI) of the project. His focus includes conceptualizing the framework, leading the agentic design of IntelliGeo in relation to large language models (LLMs), and architecting the library’s structure.

Past Contributors
Zehao Lu
Lu is a skilled developer and machine learning engineer with expertise in AI, natural language processing (NLP), and large language model (LLM) applications. His work on IntelliGeo focused on integrating LLMs to generate executable PyQGIS scripts and QGIS models, simplifying user workflows in QGIS. Lu has since transitioned to a new role at Wageningen University, where he continues to advance his career. We are grateful for his significant contributions to IntelliGeo and wish him continued success.
